The San Antonio Brahmas signed linebacker Kelechi Anyalebechi on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Kelechi Anyalebechi is six foot and weighs 240 pounds. The 23-year-old from Pearland, Texas, made 10 tackles (5 solo, 5 assists) in three preseason games for the Los Angeles Rams in 2023. The Rams signed Anyalebechi as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2023.
Then, Anyalebechi signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on February 28, 2024, but was released as part of the final cuts in training camp on March 22, 2024.
Collegiately, Anyalebechi played five seasons at Incarnate Word (2018-22) with 285 tackles (162 solo, 123 assists), 28 tackles for loss, 9.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 66 yards, one touchdown, 12 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 48 games for the Cardinals.
In 2021, Anyalebechi broke the UIW record for total tackles in a season finishing with 130, and was named Third Team FCS All-American after the season. In addition, he was named First Team All-Southland Conference in 2020.
