The San Antonio Brahams are set to sign kicker Ryan Santoso on Wednesday according to Cameron Nizialek. This comes after the Brahmas placed kicker Donald De La Haye Jr. on injured reserve with multiple neck fractures.
Ryan Santoso is six foot five and weighs 258 pounds. The 28-year-old from Pace, Florida, last played in the 2022 preseason with both the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants 14 kickoffs for 903 yards (64.5%) with a long of 68 yards, nine touchbacks, one from inside the 20-yard line, converted 5 of 8 field goals (62.5%), and made four extra points.
Before New York, Santoso signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018. He had stints with the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Alouettes, New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Rams. Santoso was on the Rams practice squad when they won Super Bowl LVI in 2021.
Santoso played seven NFL regular season games with 32 kickoffs for 1,982 yards (65.5%) with 21 touchbacks, converted 4 of 5 field goals (80%) with a long of 35 yards, and made 6 of 8 extra points (75%).
