Tirol Raiders sign wide receiver Darion Chafin

The Tirol Raiders signed wide receiver Darion Chafin for the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Darion Chafin is six foot three and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Wichita Falls, Texas, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft. The Battlehawks released him on March 22, 2024.

Collegiately, Chafin played two seasons at Cisco College (2018-19) making 39 catches for 814 yards, and eight touchdowns in 15 games for the Warriors.

Then, Chafin transferred to Incarnate Word (2020-22) making 156 catches for 2,388 yards, 33 touchdowns, completed one pass for 18 yards, and three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in 33 games for the Cardinals. He was named First Team All-Southland Conference, Third Team All-American, and Phil Steele All-American in 2022.
