Berlin Thunder sign kicker Dominik Eberle

The Berlin Thunder have signed kicker Dominik Eberle for the 2024 season on Thursday.

Dominik Eberle is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 27-year-old from Nuremberg, Germany, signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2020. He also had stints with the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions.

Eberle played two career NFL games with 15 kickoffs for 865 yards (53.3%), eight touchbacks, converting 3 of 4 field goals (75%) with a long of 51 yards, and making 7 of 9 extra points. Then, Eberle signed the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) on February 6, 2023, making 14 of 18 field goals (77.8%) with a long of 54 yards in ten games.

Collegiately, Eberle played four seasons at Utah State (2016-19) with 257 kickoffs for 15,665 yards (60.9%), 144 touchbacks, converting 64 of 81 field goals (79%) with a long of 52 yards, and making 167 extra points in 43 games for the Aggies. He was named First Team All-Mountain West Conference in 2019.

In addition, Eberle set eight school records during his Utah State career with 359 points scored, 8.34 points per game, 64 made field goals, making 167 of 167 extra points made, and is tied for first all-time in PAT percentage at 1.000.

Eberle also ranks second all-time in school history in field goal percentage at 79.0 and 81 field goal attempts. Eberle is the only kicker in school history to have four or more 50-yard field goals in a career (52, 51, 51, 51).
