San Antonio Brahmas sign offensive lineman Julie’n Davenport

The San Antonio Brahmas signed offensive lineman Julie’n Davenport and placed him on the inactive list on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Julie’n Davenport is six foot seven and weighs 315 pounds. The 29-year-old from Paulsboro, New Jersey, played two preseason games for the New York Giants in 2023. The Giants signed Davenport as a free agent on August 16, 2023.

Before New York, the Houston Texans drafted Davenport in the fourth round (130th pick) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played 27 games, of which 19 were starts in two seasons with the Texans. In 2019, the Texans traded Davenport to the Miami Dolphins. He played 24 games, of which nine were starts for the Dolphins.

After Miami, Davenport signed with the Indianapolis Colts on March 21, 2021, and played nine games, of which were starts. Davenport would then spend time with the Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and New York Giants.

Collegiately, Davenport played four seasons at Bucknell University (2013-16) playing left tackle starting 44 games for the Bison. He was named Second Team All-Patriot League and a three-time First Team All-Patriot League.

In 2016, Bucknell’s offensive line blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher in Joey DeFloria (1,070 yards, 10 TDs) as well as number two running back Chad Freshnock, who had another 604 yards and 10 touchdowns.
