The Repco Supercars Championship concluded the weekend at Taupō Motorsport Park in Taupō, New Zealand, for Race 8 of the ITM Taupō Super400. The conditions were much better for this race than on Saturday.

Penrite Racing driver Matt Payne was on the pole with Red Bull Ampol Racing driver Broc Feeney joining him on the front row starting in second place. Feeney’s teammate Will Brown started in the fifth position.

Payne led the opening six laps before tire trouble allowed Feeney to pass him for the lead at Turn 11. However, Payne would regain the lead before Feeney took it back. Later, Payne would fall back after both Anton De Pasquale and Will Brown passed him dropping him to fifth place.

Anton De Pasquale was the first of the lead lap cars to pit on lap 18, while Feeney pitted a lap later. On lap 23, Feeney caught and passed De Pasquale for the lead with Will Brown not far behind. On lap 32, Brown passed De Pasquale for second place and passed Broc Feeney will nine laps to go.

Brown would go on to win his third race of the season by 3.3585 seconds over Broc Feeney. Brown now leads Feeney by 71 points in the standing and Anton De Pasquale clinched the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy with a third-place finish.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Matthew Payne fourth, James Golding fifth, Andre Heimgartner sixth, Chaz Mostert seventh, Jack Le Brocq eighth, Cam Waters ninth, and Ryan Wood tenth.
