The NTT IndyCar Series concluded the weekend on the streets of Long Beach, California, on Sunday afternoon’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Meyer Shank Racing driver Felix Rosenqvist started the race on the pole with Team Penske driver Will Power starting second. On the opening lap, Will Power passed Felix Rosenqvist at Turn 1 to take the lead. Power led 15 laps. The first and only caution of the race came out on lap 15 when Christian Rasmussen lost control of the car at Turn 4 and made contact with Jack Harvey. Rasmussen was the only car out of the race.

Josef Newgarden took over the lead after Will Power made a pit stop. Newgarden led on two occasions for a total of 19 laps. Scott Dixon was the dominant driver in this race leading 42 laps. He passed Colton Herta twice on lap 33 and lap 62. Herta led seven laps in this race.

Late in the race, Colton Herta hit the back of Josef Newgarden’s car causing it to nearly stall. Newgarden made the recovery and ended up finishing in fourth place. Herta tried to rundown Dixon but it was too late. Scott Dixon won his 57th career IndyCar race over Colton Herta by .9798 seconds. In addition, it’s Dixon’s second win on the streets of Long Beach.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Alex Palou third, Josef Newgarden fourth, Marcus Ericsson fifth, Will Power sixth, Kyle Kirkwood seventh, Romain Grosjean eighth, Felix Rosenqvist ninth, and Alexander Rossi tenth.
