The Birmingham Stallions signed punter Drue Chrisman and placed defensive back Chris Jackson on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Drue Chrisman is six foot three and weighs 211 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2021.
In 2022, Chrisman punted the ball 28 times for 1,338 yards (47.8 AVG) with a long of 65 yards, two touchbacks, 13 from inside the 20-yard line, and seven fair catches in seven games. Chrisman also had a stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 on their practice squad.
Collegiately, Chrisman played four seasons at Ohio State (2017-20) punting the ball 185 times for 8,145 yards (44 AVG), with a long of 74 yards, 15 touchbacks, 70 fair catches, 83 from inside the 20-yard line, 55 from 50-plus yards, five kickoffs for 215 yards (43 AVG), and completed one pass for 21 yards in 49 games for the Buckeyes. He was named Third Team All-Big 10 in 2018, and Second Team All-Big 10 in 2020.
Chris Jackson is five foot ten and weighs 193 pounds. The 26-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota, made 17 tackles (13 solo, 4 assists) in four games for the Stallions in 2024. The Stallions signed Jackson as a free agent on December 19, 2023.
Before Birmingham, Jackson was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round (243rd pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played three seasons with the Tennessee Titans making 59 tackles (44 solo, 15 assists), two tackles for loss, and five pass breakups in 24 games, of which six were starts.
Collegiately, Jackson played four seasons at Marshall University (2016-19) with 189 tackles (110 solo, 79 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, seven interceptions for 200 yards, one touchdown, 45 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 49 games for the Thundering Herd.
