The Houston Roughnecks signed wide receiver Reggie Roberson Jr. and linebacker Christopher Allen on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Reggie Roberson Jr. is five foot eleven and weighs 193 pounds. The 25-year-old from DeSoto, Texas, signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He made four catches for 47 yards in two preseason games earning himself a spot on the practice squad. After Tennessee, he was on the practice squad of the Chicago Bears.
Collegiately, Roberson Jr. played one season at West Virginia in 2017 making six catches for 30 yards, and one touchdown in five games for the Mountaineers.
Then, Roberson Jr. transferred to Southern Methodist University (2018-21) making 168 catches for 2,704 yards, 23 touchdowns, five carries for 17 yards, nine kick returns for 301 yards, one touchdown, five punt returns for 21 yards, and three tackles (3 solo) in 34 games for the Mustangs. He attended the NFL Combine and the Reese’s Senior Bowl and was named Fourth Team All-ACC Team.
Christopher Allen is six foot four and weighs 242 pounds. The 25-year-old from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. In 2023, Allen made four tackles (2 solo, 2 assists) and one quarterback hit in three preseason games.
Collegiately, Allen played five seasons at Alabama (2017-21) with 61 tackles (37 solo, 24 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 34 games for the Crimson Tide. He was named Second Team All-SEC in 2020 and is a two-time CFP National Champion.
