The New York Jets drafted defensive back Qwan’tez Stiggers in the fifth round (176th pick) in the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Qwan’tez Stiggers is six foot and weighs 197 pounds. The 22-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, made 54 tackles, three tackles on special teams, and five interceptions for 24 yards in 16 games for the Toronto Argonauts in 2023. He later played in the East-West Shrine Bowl in 2024 with one tackle and one pass breakup.
He was named a CFL East All-Star, CFL All-Star, and the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie in 2023. The Argonauts signed Stiggers as a free agent on January 4, 2023. Before Toronto, Stiggers played one season in the Fan Controlled Football League (FCF). Stiggers never attended college.
