The Philadelphia Eagles traded picks 164 and 201 to the Indianapolis Colts for pick 155 before drafting linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the fifth round (155th pick) in the 2024 NFL Draft. Trotter Jr. is the son of former Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is six foot and weighs 228 pounds. The 21-year-old from Hainesport, New Jersey, went 7.13 seconds in the 3-Cone Drill, 4.4 seconds in the 20-yard Shuttle, and made 21 bench presses. He was given a production score of 86, and a 55 in athleticism for a total score of 73.

In 2023, Trotter Jr. made 88 tackles (54 solo, 34 assists), 15 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, seven pass breakups, two interceptions for 28 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games for the Tigers. He was named First Team All-ACC and was a Butkus Award finalist becoming the sixth Clemson player in history to be nominated for the award.

In 2022, Trotter Jr. was named Second Team All-ACC after making 89 tackles (50 solo, 39 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, seven pass breakups, two interceptions for 35 yards, and one touchdown in 14 games.

Trotter Jr. played three seasons at Clemson (2021-23) with 192 tackles (113 solo, 79 assists), 29.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles, 14 pass breakups, four interceptions for 63 yards, and two touchdowns in 39 games for the Tigers.
