The San Antonio Brahmas released offensive lineman Alex Pihlstrom on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Alex Pihlstrom is six foot six and weighs 305 pounds. The 25-year-old from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2024, and was released on August 29, 2024. Pihlstrom signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on April 11, 2024, and played one game for San Antonio.

Collegiately, Pihlstrom played six seasons at Illinois (2017-22) playing center, left guard, and tight end in 31 games for the Fighting Illini. He was named Second Team All-Big Ten and an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2022. In addition, he was part of the first offensive line in Illinois history to be named a Joe Moore Award finalist.
