The Edmonton Elks signed offensive lineman T.J. Storment on Tuesday.
T.J. Storment is six foot seven and weighs 320 pounds. The 26-year-old from Statesville, North Carolina, was drafted by the D.C. Defenders in the first round (8th pick) in Phase 4 of the 2023 XFL Draft. He played three games before being traded to the Orlando Guardians (XFL) in 2023 and played three games.
Before Orlando, Storment went undrafted in 2022 and attended the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants rookie minicamps before signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on September 27, 2023, and was placed on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Storment played two seasons at Old Dominion (2016-17), playing right tackles in five games before transferring to Fullerton College for one season in 2018, playing six games and earning First Team All-Conference Honors. In 2019, Storment transferred to Colorado State, playing 12 games at left tackle before he transferred to TCU in 2020 playing nine games.
Storment concluded his collegiate career at Texas Tech in 2021, playing 13 games at left tackle. He was utilized for 708 total snaps, which ranked fourth on the offense, and graded out at 60.8 overall according to Pro Football Focus with a 69.9 grade in pass protection. He was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2021.
