The B.C. Lions drafted placekicker Carl Meyer in the first round (6th pick) and punter Tory Taylor in the second round (15th pick) in the 2024 CFL Global Draft.

Carl Meyer is six foot three and weighs 231 pounds. A native of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, played for the Jacksonville Sharks (NAL) in 2023. In 2024, Meyer took part in the CFL Kicking Showcase in San Diego. Meyer played 64 games for the Dragons RFC of the Welsh Rugby Union from 2014-18 and later played for the New Orleans Gold (MLR) in 2020.

Tory Taylor is six foot four and weighs 225 pounds. A native of Melbourne, Australia, Taylor was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round (122nd pick) in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Taylor played four seasons at Iowa (2020-23) punting the ball 295 times for 13,657 yards (46.3 AVG) with a long of 70 yards, and 127 punts inside the 20-yard line in 49 games for the Hawkeyes. He was named a two-time First Team All-Big Ten, two-time Eddleman–Fields Punter of the Year, Unanimous All-American, and won the Ray Guy Award in 2023.
