Houston Roughnecks sign tight end A.J. Lewis

The Houston Roughnecks signed tight end A.J. Lewis on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

A.J. Lewis is six foot three and weighs 250 pounds. The 24-year-old from Mobile, Alabama, played four seasons at Troy University (2019-22) making 18 catches for 151 yards, five touchdowns, two kick returns for no yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 49 games for the Trojans.

In 2019, he caught a Troy Division I record with three touchdowns in his redshirt freshman season. He finished the season making six catches for 73 yards, and three touchdowns starting all 12 games. Then, Lewis transferred to Alabama State in 2023 making four catches for 50 yards in 11 games for the Hornets.
