The Michigan Panthers placed defensive tackle Daniel Wise on the injured reserve list on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Daniel Wise is six foot three and weighs 285 pounds. The 28-year-old from Carrollton, Texas, made 16 tackles (7 solo, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in five games for the Michigan Panthers in 2024. The Panthers signed Wise as a free agent on December 19, 2023.
Before Michigan, the Dallas Cowboys signed Wise as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also had stints with the Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Commanders. He spent two seasons in Washington with 11 tackles (5 solo, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit in 17 games, of which two were starts.
Then, Wise signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on January 4, 2024. He made four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist), and one quarterback hit in three preseason games for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023.
Collegiately, Wise played four seasons at Kansas (2015-18) with 152 tackles (108 solo, 44 assists), 43 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, one fumble recovery, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups in 42 games for the Jayhawks. He was a two-time First Team All-Big 12.
