On Tuesday night, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers drafted Delaware State running back Michael Chris-Ike in the second round (14th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. In addition, Michael Chris-Ike earned an NFL rookie minicamp invite from the New York Jets.

Michael Chris-Ike is six foot one and weighs 225 pounds. A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Chris-Ike won the 40-Yard Dash with a time of 4.51 seconds, won the 3-Cone with a time of 6.71 seconds, and finished second in the Short Shuttle with a time of 4.19 seconds behind linebacker Eteva Mauga-Clements of Nebraska with a time of 4.14 seconds.

In addition, Chris-Ike had 16 bench presses and a vertical jump of 35.5. In 2023, Chris-Ike had 15 carries for 92 yards, one catch for 10 yards, and two kick returns for 34 yards in 10 games for the Hornets.

Chris-Ike played six seasons at Delaware State (2018-23) with 164 carries for 752 yards, five touchdowns, three catches for 13 yards, seven kick returns for 153 yards, and 10 tackles (8 solo, 2 assists) in 24 games for the Hornets.
