Birmingham Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez throw 4 touchdowns on Saturday in Memphis.

The Birmingham Stallions (6-0) visited Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the Memphis Showboats (1-5) for the final time of the season in front of a crowd of 5,609 fans. The Stallions continue to show they are the best team in the UFL with a 39-21 win over the Showboats.

Birmingham had 466 yards on offense. Quarterback Adrian Martinez completed 23 of 36 passes (64%) for 368 yards, four touchdowns, and five carries for 25 yards. In the second quarter, Martinez threw a four-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Marable for a 16-6 lead with 3:58 left. Then, he threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marlon Williams for a 22-9 lead with 23 seconds left.

In the third quarter, Martinez threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. for a 31-9 lead with 2:45 left. In the fourth quarter, Martinez threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Williams for a 39-12 lead with 5:21 left in the game.

Running back C.J. Marable led the rushers with five carries for 31 yards, four catches for 12 yards, and one touchdown, while Ricky Pearson Jr. had 11 carries for 29 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for four yards. The rushers finished the afternoon with 23 carries for 99 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. led the receivers making four catches for 108 yards, and one touchdown, and Marlon Williams made four catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns. The receivers finished the game making 23 catches for 368 yards, and four touchdowns.

Kicker Ramiz Ahmed made one field goal for 45 yards. Birmingham’s defense made 62 tackles, two tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

Memphis had 220 yards on offense. Quarterback Case Cookus completed 15 of 23 passes (65%) for 115 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for four yards. Cookus’s only touchdown pass came in the first quarter to tight end Sage Surratt for 10 yards putting them up 6-0 with 1:28 left.

Backup quarterback Troy Williams completed 6 of 13 passes (46%) for 65 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and two carries for 11 yards. Williams’s touchdown happened in the fourth quarter to Dee Anderson for 34 yards cutting the Stallions lead down to 39-21 with 2:29 left in the game.

Running back Darius Victor led the rushers with 11 carries for 42 yards and three catches for nine yards. The rushers finished the game with 15 carries for 59 yards. Wide receiver Daewood Davis led the receivers making five catches for 43 yards. The receivers finished the afternoon making 21 catches for 180 yards, and two touchdowns.

Kicker Matt Coughlin made two field goals with a long of 47 yards. Memphis’s defense made 55 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.
