The Montreal Alouettes re-signed offensive lineman Pier-Olivier Lestage through the 2025 season and long snapper Louis-Philippe Bourassa through the 2026 season on Tuesday.
Pier-Olivier Lestage is six foot three and weighs 310 pounds. The 26-year-old from Saint-Eustache, Quebec, played 17 games for the Alouettes in 2023. He was voted offensive line player of the year.
Montreal’s offense finished seventh in offensive points per game (20.6), fourth in touchdowns (43), sixth in average net offensive yards (329.7), fifth in average rushing yards (102.2), sixth in average passing yards (250.0), and eighth in sacks allowed (61) on their way to winning the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Montreal drafted Lestage in the second round (10th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft. He played 11 games. Before Montreal, Lestage signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2021, and spent the season on the practice squad. He was released on June 22, 2022.
Collegiately, Lestage played three seasons at the University of Montreal (2017-19) being named Second Team U Sports All-Canadian in 2019 for the Carabins.
Louis-Philippe Bourassa is six foot three and weighs 232 pounds. The 32-year-old from Shawinigan, Quebec, played 18 games for the Alouettes in 2023, and three playoff games. Bourassa helped punter Joseph Zema lead the CFL in punts with an average of 37.9 yards. The Alouettes signed Bourassa as a free agent on February 14, 2023.
Before Montreal, the Ottawa Redblacks drafted Bourassa in the fourth round (36th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft. He played 76 games in five seasons with the Redblacks helping them appear in the Grey Cup in 2017.
Collegiately, Bourassa played three seasons at the University of Montreal (2014-16) helping the Carabins win the 50th Vanier Cup over the McMaster Marauders in 2014.
