The San Antonio Brahmas signed linebacker Zach Morton and placed linebacker Zach McCloud on the injured reserve on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Zach Morton is six foot four and weighs 261 pounds. The 25-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023, but was released on August 5, 2023.

Collegiately, Morton played two seasons at Syracuse (2019-20) recording no stats in six games for the Orange. Then, Morton transferred to Akron (2021-22) making 61 tackles (24 solo, 37 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions for 24 yards, one touchdown, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks in 24 games for the Zips.

Zach McCloud is six foot two and weighs 235 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lantana, Florida, made four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) and two sacks in two games for the Brahmas in 2024. The Brahmas signed McCloud on January 19, 2024.

Before San Antonio, McCloud signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He also had stints with the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and Indianapolis Colts.

Collegiately, McCloud played six seasons at Miami (FL) (2016-21) with 193 tackles (101 solo, 92 assists), 22.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, and four pass breakups in 64 games for the Hurricanes.
