Montreal Alouettes sign six players for the 2024 CFL Draft

The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receivers Mohsen Jamal and Frederik Antoine, defensive lineman Micah Roane, defensive backs Arthur Hamlin and Vincent Delisle, and kicker Sam Clark on Wednesday.

Mohsen Jamal is five foot eleven and weighs 171 pounds. A native of London, Ontario, Jamal was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the seventh round (65th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. In 2023, Jamal made 48 catches for 760 yards, five touchdowns, one carry for seven yards, and four punt returns for 64 yards in 11 games for the Western Mustangs.

Collegiately, Jamal played four seasons at Western University (2019, 2021-23) making 49 catches for 770 yards, five touchdowns, one carry for seven yards, 8 punt returns for 96 yards, and three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist), 32 games for the Mustangs.

Frederik Antoine is six foot one and weighs 217 pounds. The 26-year-old from Quebec, Quebec, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the fifth round (47th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Antoine played two seasons at Old Dominion (2020-21) appearing in one game for the Monarchs recording no stats. Then, he transferred to the University of Laval (2022-23) making 29 catches for 330 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games for the Rouge Et Or. He helped Laval win the 2022 Vanier Cup. In 2023, Antoine made 10 catches for 117 yards and one touchdown in five games.

Micah Roane is six foot four and weighs 255 pounds. A native of Chaska, Minnesota, Roane was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the fourth round (38th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Roane played four seasons at South Dakota (2020-23) making 94 tackles (44 solo, 50 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 40 games for the Coyotes.

In 2023, Roane made 40 tackles (18 solo, 22 assists), seven tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 13 games. Roane was the team’s AFCA Good Works Team Nominee for his work on the field and in the community.

Arthur Hamlin is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Hamlin was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the third round (29th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Hamlin played five seasons at Colgate University (2019-23) making 70 tackles (50 solo, 20 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, seven pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 31 games for the Raiders.

In 2023, Hamlin made 32 tackles (23 solo, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, and six pass breakups. His Brother Nate played for the B.C. Lions, Ottawa Redblacks, and Edmonton Elks.

Vincent Delisle is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Quebec, Quebec, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the eighth round (74th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Delisle played three seasons at the University of Laval (2021-23) with 27 tackles (19 solo, 8 assists), one interception, and two pass breakups in 22 games for the Rouge Et Or. He helped Laval win the 2022 Vanier Cup. In 2023, Delisle made 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assists) in seven games.

Sam Clark is six foot four and weighs 202 pounds. A native of Lilyfield, Australia, Clark was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the first round (9th pick) of the 2024 CFL Global Draft. Clark attended the 2024 CFL Kicking Combine in San Diego this past January.

Collegiately, Clark played three seasons at Sacramento State (2019-21) punting the ball 97 times for 4,062 yards (41.9 AVG) with a long of 73 yards, two touchbacks, 37 fair catches, 32 from inside the 20-yard line, 12 from 50-plus yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Hornets. He was named Third Team All-Big Sky in 2021.

Then, Clark transferred to James Madison in 2022 punting the ball 50 times for 2,161 yards (43.2 AVG) with a long of 65 yards, four touchbacks, 18 fair catches, 16 from inside the 20-yard line, and nine from 50-plus yards in 11 games for the Dukes.
