The San Antonio Brahmas released defensive back Gavin Heslop and placed defensive tackle Jalen Dalton on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Gavin Heslop is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Yonkers, New York, made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in three games for the San Antonio Brahmas in 2024. The Brahmas signed Heslop as a free agent on January 19, 2024.

Before San Antonio, Heslop signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2020. In 2021, he played three games making one tackle (1 solo) for the Seahawks. Heslop also spent time with the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns.

Collegiately, Heslop played four seasons at Stony Brook (2016-19) making 196 tackles (138 solo, 58 assists), 21 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 30 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, three blocked kicks, and one punt return for 21 yards in 45 games for the Seawolves. He was named Second Team All-CAA in 2018 and Third Team All-CAA in 2019.

Jalen Dalton is six foot six and weighs 283 pounds. The 26-year-old from Clemmons, North Carolina, made 12 tackles (8 solo, 4 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, and three pass breakups in seven games for the San Antonio Brahmas in 2024. The Brahmas drafted Dalton in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft.

Before San Antonio, Dalton signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2019. He also had stints with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers. In 2022 with Atlanta, Dalton made 13 tackles (8 solo, 5 assists) and one tackle for loss in seven games.

Collegiately, Dalton played four seasons at North Carolina (2015-18) making 93 tackles (46 solo, 47 assists), 15 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 38 games for the Tar Heels.
