The San Antonio Brahmas placed defensive tackle Taron Vincent on the injured reserve list on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Taron Vincent is six foot one and weighs 304 pounds. The 24-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, made 14 tackles (8 solo, 6 assists), two tackles for loss, and one sack in seven games for the San Antonio Brahmas in 2024. The Brahmas drafted Vincent in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft.
Before San Antonio, Vincent attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp before signing with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2023. Vincent made four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games for the Rams in 2023 before he was released on August 28, 2023.
Then, Vincent signed with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) on December 12, 2023, but the Roughnecks were not included in the XFL and USFL merger forming the United Football League (UFL). However, the Roughnecks name was transferred to the Houston Gamblers.
Collegiately, Vincent played five seasons at Ohio State (2018-22) making 57 tackles (23 solo, 34 assists), eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery in 40 games for the Buckeyes. He was an All-Big 10 Honorable Mention in 2021 after finishing the season with 22 tackles (12 solo, 10 assists) and three tackles for loss.
