The Edmonton Elks drafted defensive lineman Antonio Alfano in Tuesday’s CFL Supplemental Draft. In doing so, the Elks forfeit their eighth round selection in the 2025 CFL Draft.
Antonio Alfano is six foot four and weighs 285 pounds. The 23-year-old from Livingston, New Jersey, was a former five-star recruit and the fifth-ranked overall player in the class of 2019 who began his collegiate career at Alabama in 2019 but did not play a game for the Crimson Tide.
Next, Alfano transferred to Colorado in 2020 but did not play a game for the Buffaloes. Then, Alfano transferred to Independence Community College in 2021 but too did not play a game for the Pirates. In addition, Alfano did not play football in 2022.
Alfano concluded his collegiate at Lackawanna Community College in 2023 making 14 tackles (12 solo, 2 assists), eight tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup in five games for the Falcons.
