Michigan Panthers release linebacker DaShaun White

The Michigan Panthers released linebacker DaShaun White on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.

DaShaun White is six foot and weighs 218 pounds. The 24-year-old from North Richland Hills, Texas, was drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round (32nd pick) of the 2023 USFL Draft. White played four games for the Panthers with seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assists).

After the season, the Panthers released him to pursue an NFL contract which he signed with the Buffalo Bills on August 21st. He played one preseason game against the Chicago Bears with one tackle. Then, White signed with the Michigan Panthers on September 11, 2023. In 2024, White made nine tackles (7 solo, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in six games for the Michigan Panthers.

Collegiately, White played five seasons at Oklahoma (2018-22) with 259 tackles (126 solo, 133 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and eight pass breakups in 63 games, of which 49 were starts for the Sooners. He was a Big-12 Honorable Mention in 2022.
