The San Antonio Brahmas signed wide receiver Kade Warner and placed tight end Cody Latimer on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Kade Warner is six foot one and weighs 201 pounds. The 25-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played three preseason games making two catches for 29 yards.
Next, Warner signed with the Houston Roughnecks on December 8, 2023, but the original Roughnecks were not included in the XFL and USFL merger forming the United Football League. Warner was drafted by the San Antonio Brahmas in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft but was released on March 10, 2024.
Collegiately, Warner played three seasons at Nebraska (2018-20) making 30 catches for 236 yards, and one carry for four yards in 23 games for the Cornhuskers. Then, Warner transferred to Kansas State (2021-22) making 60 catches for 622 yards, five touchdowns, and three carries for 21 yards in 27 games for the Wildcats.
Cody Latimer is six foot three and weighs 222 pounds. The 31-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round (56th pick) in the 2014 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins.
Latimer played four seasons in Denver and two seasons in New York making 70 catches for 935 yards, six touchdowns, two carries for one yard, 47 kick returns for 1,132 yards, 17 tackles (14 solo, 3 assist), one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 66 games, of which 15 were starts. Latimer is a member of the 2015 Denver Broncos Super Bowl championship team.
Next Latimer was drafted by the Orlando Guardians (XFL) in the 11th round (84th pick) in the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, Latimer made 50 catches for 593 yards, and four touchdowns in nine games on his way to being named to the All-XFL Team.
Then, Latimer signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on January 22, 2024. Latimer made 36 catches for 390 yards, and one touchdown in nine games.
Collegiately, Latimer played three seasons at Indiana (2011-13) making 135 catches for 2,042 yards, 17 touchdowns, two carries for three yards, 10 tackles (6 solo, 4 assists), one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in 32 games for the Hoosiers. He was named a two-time Second Team All-Big Ten.
