The St. Louis Battlehawks placed linebacker Lakiem Williams on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Lakiem Williams is five foot eleven and weighs 220 pounds. The 26-year-old from Tacoma, Washington, went undrafted in 2020 and signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on June 18, 2021, but was released on July 20, 2021.

Next, Williams signed with the Seattle Seahawks on August 11, 2021. He also spent time with the New Orleans Saints and had a second stint with Seattle in 2022. Then, Williams was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the first round (6th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2023 XFL Draft.

In 2023, Williams made 32 tackles (14 solo, 18 assists), four tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit in 10 games. This season, Williams made 27 tackles (8 solo, 19 assists), and one tackle for loss in eight games for the Battlehawks in 2024.

Collegiately, Williams played two seasons at Butte College (2016-17) making 124 tackles (52 solo, 72 assists), eight tackles for loss, one interception for 57 yards, one pass breakup, and two fumble recoveries in 22 games for the Roadrunners.

Then, Williams transferred to Syracuse (2018-19) making 114 tackles (50 solo, 64 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 19 games for the Orange. He was named Third Team All-ACC in 2019 and played for Team Kai in the 2020 Hula Bowl.
