The St. Louis Battlehawks signed linebacker Elijah Lee and placed linebacker Drew Lewis and defensive back Keylon Kennedy on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Elijah Lee is six foot two and weighs 229 pounds. The 28-year-old from St Joseph, Missouri, was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round (232nd pick) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Lee also had stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and Chicago Bears. He played 74 games making 107 tackles (82 solo, 25 assists), four tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He is a member of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVII championship team.

Collegiately, Lee played three seasons at Kansas State (2014-16) making 209 tackles (154 solo, 55 assists), 18.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, five interceptions for five yards, 10 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 39 games for the Wildcats. He was named Second Team All-Big XII in 2015 and First Team All-Big XII by the Coaches, AP, ESPN.com, and Phil Steele in 2016.

Drew Lewis is six foot two and weighs 229 pounds. The 28-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, signed with the Battlehawks on March 5, 2024, but was released on March 22, 2024. Lewis re-signed with the Battlehawks on May 7, 2024, and has yet to play a game for St. Louis.

Before St. Louis, Lewis spent the 2023 season with both the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) and the San Antonio Brahmas (XFL) making 24 tackles (13 solo, 11 assists) and one sack in eight games. In the South Divisional Semifinals against the Arlington Renegades, Lewis made one tackle (1 assist). The Roughnecks acquired Lewis in a trade with the San Antonio Brahmas on March 23, 2023.

Lewis signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also had stints with the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints. Then, the Houston Gamblers (USFL) drafted Lewis in the 31st round (251st pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He made 13 tackles (6 solo, 7 assists) in eight games.

Collegiately, Lewis played three seasons at Colorado (2016-18) making 167 tackles (104 solo, 63 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one interception, and eight pass breakups in 38 games for the Buffaloes.

Keylon Kennedy is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Daytona Beach, Florida, was drafted by the Vegas Vipers (XFL) in the first round (8th pick) in Phase 2 of the 2022 XFL Draft. In 2023, Kennedy made 40 tackles (34 solo, 6 assists), three tackles for loss, four pass breakups, two interceptions for 18 yards, and one forced fumble.

Kennedy was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, Kennedy made five tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) in six games.

Collegiately, Kennedy played one season at Fort Hayes State University in 2018 making 49 tackles (37 solo, 12 assists), two tackles for loss, and eight pass breakups in 12 games for the Tigers. He was named an All-MIAA Honorable Mention in 2018.

Then, Kennedy transferred to Garden City Community College (2020-21) making 35 tackles (23, 12 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three blocked kicks in 16 games for the Broncbusters.
