The Edmonton Elks signed fullback Bruno Lagace to the practice squad on Sunday.
Bruno Lagace is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Boucherville, Quebec, was drafted by the Edmonton Elks in the seventh round (56th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In 2024, Lagace appeared in the two preseason games for the Elks recording no stats before he was released on June 1, 2024.
Collegiately, Lagace played five seasons at the University of Montreal (2018-19, 2021-23) with 90 tackles (60 solo, 30 assists), four tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, four interceptions, and five pass breakups in 35 games for the Carabins.
Lagace helped the Carabins win the 58th Vanier Cup last weekend over the University of British Columbia 16-9. Lagace is a two-time RSEQ Defensive All-Star and U Sports Second Team All-Star in 2021.
