The Edmonton Elks were dealt with a blow on Monday as wide receiver Kyran Moore will miss the rest of the 2024 season with a Torn ACL according to The Canadian Press’s Dan Ralph and later confirmed by Moore himself on his social media account.

Moore tore his ACL during practice last week before their game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders last Saturday. “This is not how I imagined my season being this year, tore my other ACL,” said Moore. “I’m ready to attack this process again. We defeated it before, I guess they wanted the rematch! It’s all good though, I’m gonna win again in the end. See y’all in 2025.”

Kyron Moore is five foot ten and weighs 165 pounds. The 27-year-old from Bessemer, Alabama, made 69 catches for 743 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for eight yards, and three kick returns for 52 yards in 18 games for the Elks in 2023. The Elks re-signed Moore to a one-year contract extension on January 12, 2024.

Before Edmonton, Moore went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and later signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on May 17, 2018. Moore played four seasons in Saskatchewan making 210 catches for 2,351 yards, ten touchdowns, 15 carries for 28 yards, and five kick returns for 141 yards in 46 games in Saskatchewan.

Collegiately, Moore played four seasons at Austin Peay (2014-17) making 56 catches for 918 yards, five touchdowns, 60 carries for 347 yards, four touchdowns, 62 kick returns for 1,334 yards, two touchdowns, and 19 punt returns for 131 yards in 40 games for the Governors.
