The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive back Sherrod Baltimore to the practice squad and released defensive back Adrian Frye on Monday.

Sherrod Baltimore is five foot ten and weighs 177 pounds. The 31-year-old from Fort Washington, Maryland, made 16 tackles, two tackles on special teams, and two interceptions in ten games for the Ottawa Redblacks in 2023. Baltimore became a free agent on February 14, 2024.

The Ottawa Redblacks signed Baltimore as a free agent on April 5, 2017. In six seasons in Ottawa, Baltimore has made 150 tackles, four tackles on special teams, four interceptions, and one forced fumble in 71 games.

Collegiately, Baltimore played four seasons at the University of Maine (2012-15) with 47 tackles (33 solo, 14 assists), three tackles for loss, three interceptions, and ten pass breakups in 24 games for the Black Bears.

Adrian Frye is six foot and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Frye made six tackles (5 solo, 1 assist) and one pass breakup in three preseason games for the New Orleans Saints in 2023.

Then, Frye signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on January 24, 2024. In a preseason game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2024, Frye made three tackles.

Collegiately, Frye played five seasons at Texas Tech (2018-22) with 101 tackles (76 solo, 25 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 55 yards, one touchdown, 26 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one blocked punt, and 28 punt returns for 146 yards in 51 games for the Red Raiders. He was named First Team All-Big 12, and Freshman All-American in 2018.
