The San Antonio Brahmas (7-3) visited The Dome at America’s Center on Sunday afternoon against the St. Louis Battlehawks (7-3) in the XFL Conference Championship. Last week, St. Louis beat San Antonio 13-12.

San Antonio had 410 yards on offense. Quarterback Chase Garbers completed 15 of 21 passes (71%) for 197 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and two carries for two yards. In the first quarter, Garbers threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Marquez Stevenson for a 7-0 lead with 4:21 left. In the second quarter, Garbers threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Justin Smith extending the Brahmas lead to 13-0 with 14:52 left.
Running back Anthony McFarland led the rushers with 11 carries for 145 yards, one touchdown, and made one catch for four yards. In the third quarter, McFarland scored a 69-yard rushing touchdown for a 19-3 lead with 10:08 left. The rushers finished the day with 35 carries for 213 yards, and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Jontre Kirklin led the receivers making five catches for 61 yards, while Marquez Stevenson made five catches for 56 yards and one touchdown. The receivers finished the afternoon making 15 catches for 197 yards, and two touchdowns.
Kicker Ryan Santoso made two field goals with a long of 45 yards. San Antonio’s defense made 63 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
St. Louis had 239 yards on offense. Quarterback A.J. McCarron completed 19 of 29 passes (66%) for 179 yards, one touchdown, and two carries for five yards. In the third quarter, McCarron threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Jake Sutherland and the score was 19-9 San Antonio with 5:54 left.
Running back Jacob Saylors led the rushers with 14 carries for 79 yards and one catch for 12 yards. St. Louis’s rushers finished the day with 22 carries for 86 yards. Wide receiver Hakeem Butler led the receivers making six catches for 59 yards while Darrius Shepherd made three catches for 51 yards. The rest of the receivers made 19 catches for 179 yards, and one touchdown.
Kicker Andre Szmyt made one of two field goals with a long of 46 yards. St. Louis’s defense made 71 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown.
