The Stuttgart Surge of the European League of Football signed former Montreal Alouettes defensive back Raheem Wilson on Sunday.
Raheem Wilson is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. The 30-year-old from Desoto, Texas, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on April 17, 2019, playing three seasons with 107 tackles, two tackles on special teams, three interceptions, and one forced fumble in 38 games. In 2022, Wilson made 19 tackles in six games before the Stampeders released him on August 2, 2022.
Next, Wilson signed with the Montreal Alouettes on August 15, 2022. In 2022, Wilson made 20 tackles in seven games for the Alouettes. In 2023, Wilson made three tackles, and one tackle on special teams in four games for the Montreal Alouettes in 2023 helping them win the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Alouettes released Wilson on April 18, 2024.
Collegiately, Wilson played five seasons at Southeastern Oklahoma State (2012-16) with 181 tackles (122 solo, 59 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 18 interceptions for 268 yards, three touchdowns, 65 pass breakups, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and three blocked kicks in 45 games for the Savage Storm.
In 2016, Wilson made 47 tackles (35 solo, 12 assists), four tackles for loss, five interceptions for 45 yards, 24 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt in 11 games on his way to being named NFCA Second Team All-American, Second Team All-America selection by NFCA and D2CCA, and first-team All-Super Region 3 in both NFCA and D2CCA.
