The Toronto Argonauts signed wide receiver Jake Herslow to the practice squad on Friday.
Jake Herslow is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 26-year-old from Virginia Beach, Virginia, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. He attended their rookie minicamp before getting released on May 13, 2022. Next, Herslow signed with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) on January 1, 2023, but was released before the season started.
Then, Herslow signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on April 28, 2023. He attended the Roughriders training camp making the practice squad and was released on August 19, 2023.
Collegiately, Herslow played three seasons at Old Dominion (2017-19) with 11 catches for 109 yards, and two punt returns for -2 yards in 30 games for the Monarchs. Then, Herslow transferred to Houston in 2021 with 30 catches for 389 yards, five touchdowns, and two tackles (2 assists) in 11 games for the Cougars. In the 2021 Birmingham Bowl, Herslow caught five passes for 65 yards, and one touchdown in a Cougars 17-13 win over Auburn.
