B.C. Lions sign linebacker Jackson Taylor

The B.C. Lions signed linebacker Jackson Taylor to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Jackson Taylor is six foot one and weighs 239 pounds. The 24-year-old from Glenside, Pennsylvania, attended the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp in 2024 after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Taylor played four seasons at West Chester University (2019-22) making 262 tackles (132 solo, 130 assists), 39 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, three interceptions for 18 yards, five pass breakups, three forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt in 34 games for the Golden Rams. He was named First Team All-PSAC East, First Team All-Region 1, and a two-time PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year (2021-22).

Then, Taylor transferred to Delaware in 2023 making 116 tackles (49 solo, 67 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 13 games for the Fightin’ Blue Hens. He was named First Team All-CAA and Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele after leading the defense with 116 tackles and 13 tackles for loss.
