The Vienna Vikings of the European League of Football signed defensive back Eddie Morales III on Wednesday.
Eddie Morales III is five foot nine and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Farmingdale, New Jersey, Morales III went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Collegiately, Morales III played six seasons at Monmouth University (2018-23) making 171 tackles (121 solo, 50 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 10 interceptions for 89 yards, 32 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 11 kick returns for 130 yards, and 40 punt returns for 309 yards in 50 games for the Hawks.
In 2023, Morales III made 32 tackles (27 solo, 5 assists), one tackle for loss, four interceptions for -5 yards, 10 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, four kick returns for 46 yards, and four punt returns for 12 yards in nine games.
Morales III was named a three-time First Team All-Big South as both a defensive back and a punt returner. He served as the team captain in his last two seasons at Monmouth. He was named an All-CAA Honorable Mention and named Second Team All-CAA by Phil Steele in 2023. Morales III concluded his Monmouth career ranked fourth in program history in interceptions (10) and pass breakups (32).
