Ottawa Redblacks place DL Nigel Romick on the Six-Game Injured List

The Ottawa Redblacks placed defensive lineman Nigel Romick (Hamstring) on the six-game injured list on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Nigel Romick is six foot five and weighs 241 pounds. The 32-year-old from Thunder Bay, Ontario, was drafted by the Redblacks in the third round (23rd pick) in the 2014 CFL Draft.

In eight seasons in Ottawa, Romick has 17 tackles, 108 tackles on special teams, and one sack in 122 games. He helped the Redblacks win the 2016 Grey Cup championship over the Calgary Stampeders. In 2024, Romick made one tackle on special teams in four games.

Collegiately, Romick played three seasons at St. Mary’s University (2011-13) with 62.5 tackles (47 tackles, 31 assists), 11 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and one forced fumble in 24 games for the Huskies.
