The Toronto Argonauts placed wide receiver Tommy Nield (Hand) on the six-game injured list on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Tommy Nield is six foot three and weighs 203 pounds. The 24-year-old from Guelph, Ontario, was drafted by the Argonauts in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft. In four seasons, Nield made 52 catches on 73 targets for 647 yards and one touchdown in 34 games. In 2024, Nield was targeted 15 times making 10 catches for 72 yards in four games.
Collegiately, Nield played three seasons at McMaster University (2017-19) with 102 catches for 1,618 yards, ten touchdowns, and two kick returns for seven yards in 28 games for the Marauders.
