The Calgary Stampeders released wide receiver Maxim Malenfant from the practice squad on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Maxim Malenfant is five foot ten and weighs 190 pounds. The 25-year-old from Drummondville, Quebec, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on May 2, 2024. Malenfant did not play in the preseason for the Stampeders as he was placed on the retired list on May 29, 2024.

In 2023, Malenfant made 29 catches for 266 yards, three touchdowns, three carries for 18 yards, one kick return for 16 yards, and three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in eight games for the Ottawa Gee-Gees. He led the Gee-Gees with three touchdown catches and finished second on the team in receptions (29) and receiving yards (266).

Malenfant played four seasons at the University of Ottawa (2019, 2021-23) making 37 catches for 404 yards, three touchdowns, three carries for 18 yards, seven kick returns for 111 yards, five punt returns for 82 yards, and 10 tackles (8 solo, 2 assists) in 26 games for the Gee-Gees. He was named a two-time U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian.
