The Birmingham Stallions released wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page. According to Pro Football Newsroom’s James Larsen, Austin Jr. is signing with the New Orleans Saints.

Kevin Austin Jr. is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, signed with the Jackson Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2022. In the 2023 preseason, Austin Jr. made two catches for 9 yards in two games.

Then, he signed with the Birmingham Stallions on January 19, 2024. In 2024, Austin Jr. made 15 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. In the playoffs, Austin Jr. was targeted three times but made no catches while the Stallions won their third straight championship, and first in the UFL.

Collegiately, Austin Jr. played four seasons at Notre Dame (2018-21) making 54 catches for 996 yards, 7 touchdowns, and one carry for 8 yards in 26 games for the Fighting Irish.
