The San Antonio Brahmas signed running back Hassan Hall and linebacker Marcus Haynes on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page. The Brahmas also released kicker Ryan Santoso.
Hassan Hall is five foot ten and weighs 196 pounds. The 23-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He also had stints with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Collegiately, Hall played four seasons at the University of Louisville (2018-21) with 270 carries for 1,299 yards, 11 touchdowns, 22 catches for 175 yards, 95 kick returns for 2,367 yards, and two touchdowns in 42 games for the Cardinals. He was named Second Team All-ACC in 2019.
Then, Hall transferred to Georgia Tech in 2022 with 116 carries for 521 yards, one touchdown, 28 catches for 165 yards, and nine kick returns for 214 yards in 12 games for the Yellow Jackets.
Marcus Haynes is six foot four and weighs 240 pounds. The 26-year-old from Bowie, Maryland, signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He spent part of the season on the practice squad. The Broncos released him on November 27, 2023, and he signed with the Houston Texans on February 16, 2024. The Texans released him on June 4, 2024.
Collegiately, Haynes played six seasons at Old Dominion (2017-22) making 102 tackles (55 solo, 47 assists), 22 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass breakups in 49 games for the Monarchs.
Ryan Santoso is six foot five and weighs 258 pounds. The 28-year-old from Pace, Florida, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on April 10, 2024. In 2024, Santoso made 12 of 18 field goals (66.7%) with a long of 51 yards, 35 kickoffs for 2,411 yards, and three touchbacks in eight games.
Santoso signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018. He had stints with the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Alouettes, New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Rams. Santoso was on the Rams practice squad when they won Super Bowl LVI in 2021.
Santoso played seven NFL regular season games with 32 kickoffs for 1,982 yards (65.5%) with 21 touchbacks, converted 4 of 5 field goals (80%) with a long of 35 yards, and made 6 of 8 extra points (75%).
In 2022, he played four preseason games with both the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants 14 kickoffs for 903 yards (64.5%) with a long of 68 yards, nine touchbacks, one from inside the 20-yard line, converted 5 of 8 field goals (62.5%), and made four extra points.
Collegiately, Santoso played four seasons at Minnesota (2014-17) with 177 kickoffs for 11,008 yards (62.2%), 79 touchbacks, punting the ball 144 times for 6,018 yards (41.8 AVG) with a long of 68 yards, 15 touchbacks, 37 fair catches, 46 from inside the 20-yard line, 29 of 50-plus yards, converting 29 of 38 field goals (76.3%) with a long of 52 yards, and made 47 of 68 extra points (144.7 XP%) in 50 games for the Golden Gophers.
