The St. Louis Battlehawks signed tight end Kenari Averett, offensive lineman Teton Saltes, and defensive back Dravon Askew-Henry on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Kemari Averett is six foot six and weighs 257 pounds. The 26-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. Averett was drafted by the Battlehawks in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft. In 2024, Averett made six catches for 45 yards in 10 games.

Collegiately, Averett played two seasons at the University of Louisville (2017-18) making 8 catches for 83 yards, and one touchdown in 11 games for the Cardinals. Next, Averett transferred to Bethune-Cookman (2021-22) making 91 catches for 1,333 yards, 17 touchdowns, two tackles (2 solo), and one pass breakup in 22 games for the Wildcats.

Teton Saltes is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 26-year-old from Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2021. In 2022, the Michigan Panthers drafted Saltes in the sixth round (46th pick). He played eight games, of which seven were starts for the Panthers.

The Arlington Renegades drafted Saltes in the first round (3rd pick) of the 2023 XFL Supplemental Draft. played one game for the Arlington Renegades (XFL) in 2023 when the Renegades won the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders.

The Renegades released Saltes on March 10, 2024. Then, Saltes signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on March 18, 2024. He did not play for the Battlehawks in 2024.

Collegiately, Saltes played four seasons at New Mexico State (2017-20) playing right tackle in 35 games, of which 32 were starts for the Lobos. In 2019, Saltes played 819 snaps, the second-most of any Lobo on the offensive side of the ball. In 2020, Saltes won the Wuerffel Trophy for community service with athletic and academic achievement.

Dravon Askew-Henry is six foot and weighs 203 pounds. The 28-year-old from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also had stints with the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2020, he played for the New York Guardians (XFL) with 12 tackles (10 solo, 2 assist) in five games, of which three were starts.

The New Jersey Generals drafted Askew-Henry in the 19th round (154th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft. In his first season, Askew-Henry had 39 tackles (28 solo, 11 assists), and two interceptions in ten games with the Generals. In 2023, Askew-Henry made 30 tackles (23 solo, 7 assists), and two tackles for loss in ten games for the Generals.

The Generals were not included in the USFL and XFL merger that formed the United Football League, and St. Louis drafted Askew-Henry in the first round (4th pick) of the 2024 UFL Super Draft.

Collegiately, Askew-Henry played five seasons at West Virginia (2013-18) with 215 tackles (162 solo, 53 assists), 14 tackles for loss, six interceptions, and one touchdown in 50 games for the Mountaineers. He was a two-time Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention.
