The Birmingham Stallions released defensive end Joshua Pryor on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page as Pryor is signing with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Stallions will retain his rights should he return to the UFL.
Joshua Pryor is six foot four and weighs 280 pounds. The 24-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on July 24, 2024. Pryor signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played seven games making one tackle (1 solo). The Commanders released him on May 7, 2024.
Collegiately, Pryor played five seasons at Bowie State (2017-19, 2021-22) making 245 tackles (131 solo, 114 assists), 77 tackles for loss, 32 sacks, three pass breakups, four forced fumble, five fumble recoveries, and blocked kick in 49 games for the Bulldogs.
He was named a three-time First Team All-CIAA, three-time CIAA Champion, All-CIAA Rookie Team, Second Team All-American by the Associated Press, BoxToRow All-American, and CIAA Defensive Player of the Year.
