The Ottawa Redblacks signed running back Khalan Laborn to the practice squad on Sunday.
Khalan Laborn is five foot eleven and weighs 212 pounds. The 25-year-old from Virginia Beach, Virginia, signed with the Edmonton Elks on September 6, 2023, and was placed on the practice squad. Laborn, along with defensive lineman Jake Ceresna were traded to the Toronto Argonauts on January 15, 2024, for wide receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. and a 2024 seventh-round draft pick.
The Argonauts re-signed Laborn on February 15, 2024. He played two preseason games for the Argonauts with seven carries for 32 yards, and one catch for four yards. The Argonauts released him on June 2, 2024.
Collegiately, Laborn played one season at Marshall University in 2022 with 302 carries for 1,513 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 16 catches for 116 yards in 13 games for the Thundering Herd.
Then, Laborn played three seasons at Florida State (2018-20) with 63 carries for 297 yards, four touchdowns, and 11 catches for 103 yards in 12 games for the Seminoles.
