The Edmonton Elks signed defensive back Jeremie Dominique to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Jeremie Dominique is six foot one and weighs 202 pounds. The 27-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Edmonton Elks in the sixth round (48th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft.

In 2022, Dominique made three tackles, six tackles on special teams, and two forced fumbles in 15 games. In 2023, Dominique made seven tackles on special teams in 14 games. The Elks released him on May 1, 2024.

Collegiately, Dominique played two seasons at Hawaii (2017-18) making eight tackles (4 solo, 4 assists) in 13 games for the Rainbow Warriors. In 2018, he suffered an ankle injury and had successful surgery before transferring to North Dakota.

However, he did not play for the Fighting Hawks. Then, Dominique transferred to the University of Charleston (2020-21) with 45 tackles (31 solo, 14 assists), seven tackles for loss, two sacks, and three pass breakups in 13 games for the Golden Eagles.
