The Montreal Alouettes released wide receiver Mohsen Jamal and defensive back Vincent Delisle on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Mohsen Jamal is five foot eleven and weighs 171 pounds. A native of London, Ontario, Jamal was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the seventh round (65th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. Jamal appeared in two preseason games making one catch for 12 yards. He was placed on the suspended list as he is returning to Western.
Collegiately, Jamal played four seasons at Western University (2019, 2021-23) making 49 catches for 770 yards, five touchdowns, one carry for seven yards, 8 punt returns for 96 yards, and three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist), 32 games for the Mustangs.
In 2023, Jamal made 48 catches for 760 yards, five touchdowns, one carry for seven yards, and four punt returns for 64 yards in 11 games for the Western Mustangs.
Vincent Delisle is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Quebec, Quebec, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the eighth round (74th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. Delisle appeared in two preseason games making 5 tackles, and one tackle on special teams. He was placed on the suspended list as he was returning to Laval.
Collegiately, Delisle played three seasons at the University of Laval (2021-23) with 27 tackles (19 solo, 8 assists), one interception, and two pass breakups in 22 games for the Rouge Et Or. He helped Laval win the 2022 Vanier Cup. In 2023, Delisle made 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assists) in seven games.
