The Birmingham Stallions re-signed running back C.J. Marable, tight end Marcus Baugh, offensive lineman O’Shea Dugas, defensive lineman Marvin Wilson, and defensive backs Daniel Isom, JoJo Tillery, and Madre Harper on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
C.J. Marable is five foot ten and weighs 194 pounds. The 27-year-old from Decatur, Georgia, re-signed with the Stallions on September 6, 2023. In 2024, Marable had 80 carries for 293 yards, four touchdowns, 18 catches for 110 yards, and two touchdowns in 10 games. In the UFL Playoffs, Marable had 18 carries for 122 yards, and one catch for five yards helping the Stallions win their third straight championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Marable signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He was released after training camp. The Birmingham Stallions drafted Marable in the 28th round (226th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Marable had 102 carries for 401 yards, five touchdowns, and 20 catches for 155 yards in nine games helping the Stallions win the 2022 USFL Championship over the Philadelphia Stars.
In 2023, Marable had 118 carries for 525 yards, three touchdowns, 28 catches for 235 yards, and two touchdowns in ten games for the Stallions helping them win its second-straight USFL Championship over the Pittsburgh Maulers. After the season, Marable signed with the New England Patriots on August 12, 2023. He did not play in the preseason and the Patriots released him on August 27, 2023.
Collegiately, Marable played one season at Presbyterian College in 2017 with 181 carries for 1,038 yards, four touchdowns, nine catches for 130 yards, two touchdowns, and six kick returns for 85 yards in 11 games for the Blue Hose. He was named First Team All-Big South.
Then, Marable transferred to Coastal Carolina (2018-20) with 491 carries for 2,691 yards, 29 touchdowns, 84 catches for 703 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 13 kick returns for 226 yards in 36 games for the Chanticleers. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt in 2020.
Marcus Baugh is six foot four and weighs 246 pounds. The 29-year-old from Riverside, California, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, he made four catches for 76 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 10 games helping the Stallions win their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Baugh signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He would also spend time with the Carolina Panthers, Washington Football Team, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2019, he played for the San Diego Fleet (AAF) with 13 catches for 208 yards, and two touchdowns in eight games, of which four were starts.
The Michigan Panthers drafted Baugh in the third round (300th pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. In 2022, Baugh made 12 catches for 101 yards, and one touchdown in eight games for the Panthers. In 2023, he made 18 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns in ten games. In the playoffs, Baugh was targeted one time against the Pittsburgh Maulers.
After the season, Baugh signed with the New Orleans Breakers. He became a free agent when the Breakers were not included in the USFL and XFL merger forming the United Football League.
Collegiately, Baugh played four seasons at Ohio State (2014-17) with 55 catches for 607 yards, eight touchdowns, and one carry for five yards in 27 games for the Buckeyes.
O’Shea Dugas is six foot four and weighs 335 pounds. The 27-year-old from Lafayette, Louisiana, was released by the Stallions on March 22, 2024. Dugas re-signed with the Stallions on April 3, 2024. He played seven games, of which one was a start. In 2024, Birmingham’s offense ranked first in total yards (3,475), rushing yards (1,347), second in passing yards (2,128), first in yards per game (347.5), and touchdowns (31) as the Stallions won the UFL Championship over the San Antonio Brahmas 25-0.
Dugas signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He would later spend time with the Edmonton Elks. The Birmingham Stallions drafted Dugas in the sixth round (49th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft.
In 2023, Dugas played nine games for the Stallions. The Stallions ranked second in passing yards (2,170), second in passing yards per game (217), first in completion percentage (67.4), first in passing touchdowns (21), third in rushing yards (1,156), third in rushing yards per game (115.6), and tied second in rushing touchdowns (11) helping the Stallions win its second straight USFL championship in 2023. He is a two-time USFL Champion.
Collegiately, Dugas played four seasons at Louisiana Tech (2015-18) playing left guard in 49 games, of which 43 were starts for the Bulldogs. He was named First Team All-C-USA in 2018 and two-time Second Team All-C-USA in 2016 and 2017.
Marvin Wilson is six foot four and weighs 303 pounds. The 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, signed with the Philadelphia Stars (USFL) on November 9, 2023. Wilson was traded to the Birmingham Stallions on the same day.
In 2024, Wilson made 19 tackles (10 solo, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, half a sack, and one pass breakup in 10 games. In the UFL playoffs, Wilson made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in two games as the Stallions won their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Wilson signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on September 3, 2021. Wilson played two games in two seasons in Philadelphia making 8 tackles (3 solo, 5 assists).
Collegiately, Wilson played four seasons at Florida State (2017-20) with 109 tackles (50 solo, 59 assists), 15 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 39 games, of which 19 were starts for the Seminoles. He was named First Team All-ACC in 2019 and Second Team All-ACC in 2020.
Daniel Isom is six foot and weighs 194 pounds. The 26-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft.
In 2024, Isom made 20 tackles (11 solo, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception, and three pass breakups. In the 2024 UFL Playoffs, Isom made seven tackles (5 solo, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception for 48 yards, one touchdown, and one pass breakup in two games helping the Stallions win their third straight championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Isom signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and was placed on the practice squad. In the 2022 preseason, Isom made three tackles (3 solo), one interception, and one pass breakup in three games.
Isom signed with the Philadelphia Stars (USFL) on October 5, 2023. The Stars were not included in the USFL and XFL merger forming the United Football League.
Collegiately, Isom played two seasons at Northern Illinois (2016-17) with 41 tackles (28 solo, 13 assists), six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in ten games for the Huskies.
Next, Isom transferred to Iowa Western Community College in 2018 with 26 tackles (17 solo, 9 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 43 yards, and seven pass breakups in 11 games for the Reivers. He was named First Team All-Region and All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.
Then, he transferred to Washington State (2019-21) with 119 tackles (70 solo, 49 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception for 27 yards, seven pass breakups, and four forced fumbles in 24 games for the Cougars. He was named All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention in 2020.
JoJo Tillery is five foot eleven and weighs 210 pounds. The 27-year-old from Hixon, Tennessee, made 16 tackles (11 solo, 5 assists), one interception, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in five games for the Birmingham Stallions in 2024.
The Stallions released Tillery on May 7, 2024. He re-signed with the Stallions on May 21, 2024. He did not play the rest of the regular season. In the 2024 UFL Playoffs, Tillery made one tackle (1 solo) and one pass breakup in two games helping the Stallions win their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Tillery signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He also spent time with the Calgary Stampeders and the Alphas (TSL) in 2021.
The Birmingham Stallions drafted Tillery in the second round (294th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft. In 2022, Tillery made 56 tackles (42 solo, 14 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and two pass breakups in ten games.
In the playoffs, Tillery made five tackles (1 solo, 4 assists), and two pass breakups helping the Stallions win the USFL Championship over the Philadelphia Stars.
In 2023, Tillery made 19 tackles (13 solo, 6 assists), half a sack, one interception and one pass breakup in five games. In the playoffs, Tillery made 12 tackles (7 solo, 5 assists), one sack, and one forced fumble helping the Stallions win their second USFL Championship over the Pittsburgh Maulers.
Collegiately, Tillery played four seasons at Wofford (2015-18) with 160 tackles (106 solo, 54 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions for 23 yards, 14 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, one catch for 43 yards, and one kick return for 30 yards in 51 games for the Terriers.
Madre Harper is six foot one and weighs 196 pounds. The 26-year-old from Irving, Texas, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on October 5, 2023. In 2024, Harper made 29 tackles (20 solo, 9 assists) in seven games. In the 2024 UFL Playoffs, Harper made four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) and one pass breakup in two games helping the Stallions win their third straight championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Harper signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He would also spend time with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Harper played 12 career NFL games with the Giants (9 games) and Panthers (3 games) with five tackles (5 solo). Harper signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 11, 2023. He played three preseason games making five tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) and one pass breakup. The Steelers released him on August 27, 2023.
Collegiately, Harper played two seasons at Oklahoma State (2016-17) with 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assists) and one fumble recovery in 14 games for the Cowboys.
Then, he transferred to Southern Illinois (2018-19) with 88 tackles (70 solo, 18 assists), one tackle for loss, half a sack, two interceptions for 16 yards, 20 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 21 games for the Salukis. He was named an All-MVFC Honorable Mention in 2019.
