The Toronto Argonauts released linebacker Isaac Darkangelo from the practice squad on Sunday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Isaac Darkangelo is six foot one and weighs 230 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brighton, Michigan, signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and he later signed with the Raiders. In Las Vegas, Darkangelo made one tackle (1 solo) in one preseason game in 2023. Then, Darkangelo signed with the Michigan Panthers (UFL) on December 21, 2023, but was released on March 10, 2024.

The Toronto Argonauts signed Darkangelo on May 6, 2024. He played two preseason games making six tackles and six tackles on special teams earning a spot on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Darkangelo played two seasons at Northern Michigan (2018-19) with 78 tackles (33 solo, 45 assists), eight tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games for the Wildcats. He was named Second Team All-GLIAC in 2019.

Then, Darkangelo transferred to Illinois (2020-22) with 78 tackles (46 solo, 32 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery in 26 games for the Fighting Illini.
