The Michigan Panthers re-signed defensive back Adonis Alexander on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Adonis Alexander is six foot three and weighs 190 pounds. The 27-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, was drafted by the Michigan Panthers in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, Alexander made 8 tackles (5 solo, 3 assists), one interception, and four pass breakups in 9 games. In the 2024 UFL Playoffs, Alexander made one tackle (1 solo) and one interception against the Birmingham Stallions in the USFL Conference Championship Game.
Alexander was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft. He played nine games for the Redskins with 27 tackles (23 solo, 4 assists), one sack, and one interception. After Washington, he had stints with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and New Orleans Saints.
The New Orleans Breakers drafted Alexander in the eighth round (65th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. In 2022, Alexander made 35 tackles (22 solo, 13 assists), two interceptions, one fumble recovery, and four pass breakups in nine games for the Breakers.
In 2023, Alexander made 19 tackles (15 solo, 4 assists), two fumble recoveries, and six pass breakups in nine games. In the playoffs against Birmingham, Alexander made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist).
Collegiately, Alexander played three seasons at Virginia Tech (2015-17) with 125 tackles (91 solo, 34 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 17 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 32 games for the Hokies. He was named All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2016.
