The Birmingham Stallions re-signed offensive lineman Deonte Brown on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Deonte Brown is six foot four and weighs 335 pounds. The 26-year-old from Decatur, Alabama, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on January 19, 2024. He played one game for the Stallions in 2024 against the Arlington Renegades. He missed most of the season with an injury and finished the year playing two games, of which one was a start.
Birmingham’s offense ranked first in total yards (3,475), rushing yards (1,347), second in passing yards (2,128), first in yards per game (347.5), and touchdowns (31) as the Stallions won the UFL Championship over the San Antonio Brahmas 25-0.
Brown was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (193rd pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played three games in his rookie season before his final two seasons on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Brown played five seasons at Alabama (2016-20) playing right guard in 48 games, of which 26 were starts for the Crimson Tide. He helped Alabama win two CFP National Championships in 2017 and 2020 and was named First Team All-SEC in 2020.
In 2020, Alabama’s offensive line blocked for the Power 5’s No. 1 scoring offense (48.5 PPG), No. 1 pass efficiency offense (198.9), No. 2 passing offense (358.2 YPG), No. 2 total offense (541.6 YPG), and No. 23 rushing attack (183.5 YPG).
